What Is a Night Bubble Show? — An Immersive Nighttime Entertainment Unlike Anything You’ve Seen
A Night Bubble Show is a large-scale outdoor performance where professional bubble artists use LED lighting arrays, synchronized music, and industrial bubble machines to release one million illuminated soap bubbles into the night sky.
Often described as “fireworks made of water,” it creates a dreamlike atmosphere where audiences don’t just watch — they step inside the show.
💡 48+ LED Lights — Programmable color arrays that make every bubble glow in rainbow hues
🔋 Fully Self-Powered — Portable batteries mean no venue power needed. Parks, beaches, ski resorts — anywhere works
🎵 Synchronized Music — Custom soundtracks matched to bubble choreography for maximum emotional impact
👘 Kimono-Clad Artists — Traditional Japanese attire adds cultural authenticity, perfect for inbound tourism

6 Reasons the Night Bubble Show Transforms Nighttime Events
From commercial facilities to municipal festivals, here’s why organizers across Japan are choosing the Night Bubble Show as their premium nighttime attraction.
01 — Immersive, Not Just Visual
Unlike illuminations or projection mapping, audiences physically interact — chasing, touching, and photographing glowing bubbles. It’s a full-body experience that creates lasting memories. While illumination events offer the joy of “watching,” the Night Bubble Show offers the thrill of “becoming part of the show.” This sense of immersion is what stays with audiences long after the event ends.
02 — Night-Time Economy Booster
Aligned with Japan’s national push for nighttime tourism spending (promoted by the Japan Tourism Agency), the Night Bubble Show extends visitor dwell time and drives food and retail revenue before and after performances. Its compatibility with government-backed nighttime economy subsidies and grants also makes it an attractive option from a budget perspective.
03 — Viral Social Media Content
Illuminated bubbles are tailor-made for Instagram Reels and TikTok. Attendees generate organic user-created content tagged with your venue or event name, providing ongoing marketing reach at zero additional advertising spend. The content isn’t just “photogenic” — it’s “video-native,” making it especially powerful in the era of short-form video.
04 — No Language Barrier — Perfect for Inbound Tourism
A purely visual and sensory experience — perfect for international tourists visiting Japan. No translations, no subtitles, no interpreter needed. The kimono-clad performers naturally communicate “Japanese culture,” leading to international social media shares and global visibility for your venue.
05 — All Ages, All Audiences
From toddlers reaching for glowing bubbles to seniors rediscovering childhood wonder — every generation connects with the universal joy of soap bubbles. At past shows, audiences have shared comments like: “Watching my children reach up to catch the bubbles nearly brought me to tears,” and “My mother, who has dementia, was laughing and playing like a child again.”
06 — Zero Burden on Organizers
We bring everything: 48+ LED lights, sound systems, bubble machines, and portable power generators. No fire department permits. No police approvals. No power supply needed from your venue. Setup to teardown — fully handled by our team. Your only responsibility is zoning the performance area.

Not a Replacement — A Perfect Partner
Fireworks create the magic of “looking up in awe.” The Night Bubble Show creates the magic of “being enveloped in light you can touch.” These are fundamentally different types of experiences — which is exactly why they amplify each other when combined.
At Sagamiko Illumillion, an illumination × Night Bubble collaboration led to repeat bookings. At Kobe Illuminage, a 2,025-drone show by Red Cliff was paired with our performance. At the Sanda Festival in Hyogo, a fireworks × Night Bubble co-production received tremendous audience response.
Fireworks paint the sky. Night Bubbles wrap the ground. When “the awe of looking up” meets “the wonder of reaching out,” overall event satisfaction and social media reach multiply.

About Bubble Works — Why Japan’s Leading Venues Trust Us
Bubble Works is a Kansai-based team of professional bubble artists who specialize in large-scale nighttime bubble performances. Here’s what sets us apart.
Guinness World Record Certification
In June 2022, our lead performer earned the official Guinness World Record in the “Longest Garland Wand” category. For event promoters, this is a powerful headline — simply adding “Featuring a Guinness World Record Holder” to your flyer or social media post creates instant audience curiosity and attendance motivation.
First Bubbles in the Stratosphere
In 1994, in collaboration with Tokushima University’s Engineering Research Division, we successfully created soap bubbles in the stratosphere using a space balloon — the first time this had ever been achieved. This experiment was featured on TBS Television’s nationally broadcast program “Dō naru de SHOW” in June 2024. This scientific background enables us to offer educational “science meets bubble art” programs as well.
Gakken Official Advisor & Author
Our lead performer serves as the official advisor and supervisor for Gakken’s bubble products, and authored the book “Gakken Outdoor Giant Bubble Challenge.” Being both a performer and a researcher gives us unique credibility in settings where educational value matters — corporate CSR events, science museums, and school programs.
National Television Appearances
NTV “Guru Guru Ninety-Nine” (studio performance), TV Asahi “Nanikore Chin Hyakkei,” 24-Hour Television, TBS “Hiruobi” and “THE TIME,” NHK 80th Anniversary Special — we’ve been invited by all of Japan’s major networks. “I saw this person on TV” is a powerful motivator that drives foot traffic to your event.
200+ Venue Track Record
Tokyo Dome City, Seibu-en Amusement Park, Sagamiko Illumillion, Tokyo German Village, AEON Mall locations, SevenPark Amami, Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo, UNESCO World Heritage Himeji Castle, Setouchi International Art Festival — the variety of scale and atmosphere across these venues means we can answer questions like “Will it work in our space?” and “Can it be done indoors?” with confidence backed by experience.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. What exactly is a Night Bubble Show?
It’s an immersive outdoor nighttime performance where professional bubble artists use LED lighting (48+ units), synchronized music, and industrial bubble machines to release approximately one million illuminated soap bubbles into the night sky. The result is a dreamlike, interactive spectacle that audiences can physically experience — touching, chasing, and photographing the glowing bubbles.
Q. Can the show be held anywhere in Japan?
Yes. We operate nationwide from Hokkaido to Okinawa, including remote islands. All equipment — LED lights, sound systems, bubble machines, and portable power generators — is transported by our team. No venue power supply is required, so we can perform in parks, beaches, parking lots, ski resorts, and other locations without electrical infrastructure.
Q. Is the bubble solution safe?
Yes. Our bubble solution uses surfactants at less than 3% concentration, meeting established safety standards. If solution contacts eyes or mouth, simply rinse with water. We welcome inquiries from those with specific allergy concerns.
Q. Are any permits or government approvals needed?
No. Unlike fireworks, the Night Bubble Show uses no fire, pyrotechnics, or explosives — so fire department permits and police approvals are not required. This significantly reduces planning time and administrative burden. If your event is held in a public park or government facility, you may need standard facility usage permission from the managing body.
Q. What happens if the weather is bad on the event day?
In case of rain or strong wind (above 6 m/s), the show will be cancelled or rescheduled for safety and quality reasons. No cancellation fee is charged for weather-related cancellations. Rescheduling to an alternative date is also available.
Q. How far in advance should we book?
We can accommodate bookings with as little as two weeks’ notice. However, weekends, holidays, and peak seasons (New Year, Golden Week, summer, Christmas) fill up quickly — we recommend reaching out 1–2 months in advance for these periods.
Q. Can it be combined with fireworks, drones, or illuminations?
Absolutely. We’ve successfully combined Night Bubble Shows with illumination events (Sagamiko Illumillion, Kobe Illuminage), a 2,025-drone show (collaboration with Red Cliff), and municipal fireworks festivals (Sanda Festival). Multi-layered co-productions are one of our specialties.
Q. Can the show be held indoors?
Unfortunately, the Night Bubble Show is designed exclusively for outdoor venues. The large volume of bubble solution spray and the nature of our LED lighting arrays require open-air space. Semi-outdoor spaces (e.g., a stage with only a roof overhead) may be possible — please contact us to discuss your specific venue.
Q. Can the show be performed in winter or cold climates?
Yes. While extremely low temperatures can cause bubble membranes to freeze more easily, we have extensive winter performance experience — including Tobu Zoo (January), Sagamiko Illumillion (January–March), and other cold-weather illumination events. We adapt our techniques to on-site weather conditions.
Q. Do you communicate in English?
We welcome inquiries in English. For detailed production planning, we can communicate in English via email. For complex arrangements, bilingual coordination support is available to ensure smooth communication throughout the planning process.
